2019/20 Premier League
Round 25
1-2 February 2020
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City will meet for a heavyweight English bout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday 2 February 2020, kick-off at 19:30. The match is one of 10 spread across the weekend of 1-2 February for the 25
th round of the
2019/20 Premier League season.
Spurs have put together a four-game unbeaten run across all competitions, though their last result was a disappointing 1-1 draw away to Southampton in the FA Cup this past weekend in which they conceded a late equaliser to miss out on progression – instead they will have to replay the clash at home next midweek.
“It's not a drama for us. It's not good that we have to play one more match, of course that’s not good, but it is better to play than not to play. We are in the competition,” said manager Jose Mourinho, who added: “The draw is always difficult, always takes us away, but both opportunities to play at home in the replays, so let’s have a go,”

City, meanwhile, have gone nine games unbeaten across all competitions with a 4-0 win over Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday – Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus netted as the Citizens advanced comfortably.
“The determination has always been there to go for the three trophies this season, and to keep fighting in the Premier League too - and that hasn’t changed. We are fighting every day to achieve our goals. The chance is still there [for a treble in the FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League] and we will keep going,” said manager Pep Guardiola.
In head-to-head stats, Tottenham and Man City have met in 160 previous matches. The Citizens have claimed 63 wins compared to 61 for Spurs, while 36 games have been drawn.
When the teams met in the Premier League earlier this season, at the Etihad Stadium in August 2019, they played out a 2-2 draw: Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero netted for the hosts, while Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura replied for Spurs.
