2020-21 FA Cup
Third Round Proper (Last 64)
8-11 January 2021
Manchester United and Watford will renew hostilities when they meet in a third round
2020-21 FA Cup tie at Old Trafford on Saturday evening. Kick-off is at 23:00.
This will be the first meeting between the two clubs across all competitions since a league match in February last year. The Red Devils ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in Manchester on the day with goals from Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

United are 12-time champions of England's most prestigious cup competition, only second behind Arsenal and have lost in the most finals -- tied eight with Everton. The Red Devils' most recent success in this tournament came in 2016 when goals from Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard steered the club to a 2-1 comeback win over Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium. They lost the 2018 final 1-0 to Chelsea.
Watford have only ever reached two FA Cup finals, losing on both occasions to Everton in 1984 and Manchester City in 2019 respectively. The Hornets suffered a 6-0 loss to City in the 2019 showpiece, the joint worst final defeat in the tournament's long history.

United reached the semi-final stage last season before losing 3-1 to Chelsea. Watford were dumped out of the tournament in the third round, suffering a surprise loss to Tranmere Rovers in a season which also ended with Premier League relegation.
This will be the first FA Cup meeting between United and Watford since 2007 when a brace from Wayne Rooney inspired United to a 4-1 semi-final win at Villa Park.
