Roma head into this weekend's round of fixtures on the back of a frustrating 0-0 draw at 10-man Benevento. The result opened the door for Juventus to move back up to third, a point above the Giallorossi in fourth.
Roma are nine points behind leaders Inter and having struggled against teams above them on the league standings this season, they will have a point to prove when second-placed Milan roll into town.
“It was a difficult match, Benevento closed up well and we reached the final third without any issues, but then didn’t have the individual initiative, we weren’t aggressive enough or clinical,” Roma head coach Paulo Fonseca told Sky Sport Italia.

“I do feel the players understood they need to be more concrete in their attacks. It’s true we were slow in the build-up and getting the ball to where we could have shots on goal.

“I don’t think it was a physical issue. We were missing some individual initiative, taking men on one-on-one, but also Benevento deserves credit for defending well.”
The Rossoneri have lost their last two matches following a 3-0 defeat to fierce rivals Inter and subsequently fell four points behind the league leaders.
"It was a tough week, the worst one of the season." said Milan coach Stefano Pioli.
