Man City and Real Madrid meet in their Champions League second leg fixture tonight with the tie delicately poised. No goals were scored at the Etihad as the game ended nil all.
Both teams will have some big players to call upon after after injuries in the first leg. City will have Yaya Toure in their midfield to add much needed power and drive. Madrid in turn will have Christiano Ronaldo in their ranks which is a massive boost to coach Zinedine Zidane. The Portuguese has assisted 77% of Madrid's goals in this seasons competition and will be vital to their chances of winning.
In injury news, Madrid are sweating on the availability of Karim Benzema who limped off with a hamstring injury in the first leg. They will also be hoping that midfielder Casemiro is fit to play after missing training. Man City will be without the creative midfield spark of David Silva who has a hamstring injury while Samir Nasri is ineligible after being omitted from the Champions League squad. In defense, they will miss the experience of Pablo Zabaleta who has a calf injury.
The teams have contrasting fortunes of late with Gareth Bale stepping up to the plate to lead Madrid while Ronaldo was injured. The Welshman has been in superb form for the Galacticos. City in contrast were thrashed by Southampton on the weekend albeit with a much changed squad. That result wont have much effect on the outcome of tonight's game but if City defend the way they did on the weekend, they could be in for another hiding.
