Manchester United v Liverpool FC

Rajamangala National Stadium
Bangkok, Thailand
Tuesday, 12 July 2022
Kick-off is at 4 pm
Manchester United will be determined to get their revenge over Liverpool when they meet at the Rajamangala National Stadium on July 12.
The Red Devils were humiliated by the Reds in their last meeting as they succumbed to a 4-0 loss in a Premier League match that was played at the Anfield Stadium on 19 April 2022.
Prior to that, United had been hammered 5-0 by Liverpool in their own backyard, Old Trafford in a one-sided PremierLeague which took place on 24 October 2021.

This was the Red Devils' heaviest ever home defeat to Liverpool, as a Mohamed Salah hat-trick and goals from Naby Keïta and Diogo Jota gave Liverpool an emphatic win.
United are winless in their last three matches against the Reds having recorded three consecutive defeats across all competitions.
The last time they tasted a win over Liverpool was on January 2021 as United emerged as 3-2 winners in the FA Cup match at Old Trafford with Marcus Rashford scoring the second goal for the hosts.
“We have got that feeling of excitement and that buzz around the training ground again and so it is definitely positive going into pre-season,” Rashford said ahead of their lastest clash with Liverpool.
“It is just about, one, getting the principles right of how Erik [ten Hag] wants us to play and the details, and, two, enjoying it. In the first week of training, we have done both and everyone is looking forward to going on the tour and putting what we have done in training into the first games.
“It is a fresh start for everyone and for me personally I have had quite a long break, a nice camp before coming back into training, and how we are starting off on the right foot.
This will be the 210th meeting between United and Liverpool since their maiden match on 12 October 1895.
United lead in the head-to-head record between the two teams, with 81 wins to Liverpool's 70; the remaining 58 matches have finished as draws.
