Patrick Cantlay will be the favourite to win the
Rocket Mortgage Classic when he tees off at the Detroit Golf Club.
Currently placed fourth in the Official World Golf Rankings, Cantlay is the highest ranked among the golfers who will compete in this year's tournament.
The American star, who had a successful amateur career, has won seven times on the PGA Tour as well as the 2021 FedEx Cup.

Cantlay won his first PGA Tour title at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on the second extra hole of a three-man playoff.
The 2011 Mark H. McCormack Medal winner clinched the 2019 Memorial Tournament and 2020 Zozo Championship as he continued to shine on the PGA Tour.
The year 2021 proved to be Cantlay's best as a professional golfer as he won the Memorial Tournament, BMW Championship and Tour Championship.
The California-born golfer has already tasted success in the current PGA Tour season as he clinched the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with Xander Schauffele.

Cantlay was ecstatic after his dream finish which carried him to 36-hole lead at windy RBC Heritage last month and he finished as runner-up behind winner Rory McIlroy.
“Obviously, that’s a dream finish. I finally rolled in some putts, and that was really nice to see going into the weekend,” Cantlay said.
“It was a tough day out there, and I figured any round under par or around even par would be a win for today. So finishing how I did puts me in a great spot for the weekend.
“I think we’ll get some more weather. It always tends to blow a little bit here. I think just staying with my game plan and continuing to leave the golf ball in the right spots, which is paramount around this place, I think is the key.”
