2021 Hungarian Grand Prix

Sunday, 1 August 2021
Red Bull Racing-Honda driver Sergio Perez will be looking to record his second win of the 2021 season by clinching the Hungarian Grand Prix title.
The Mexican star finished seventh in last year's Hungarian Grand Prix and he was representing Racing Point-BWT Mercedes at the time.
Perez, who won the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, endured a disappointing race at the recent British Grand Prix on July 18 where he finished 16th.

Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes took his fourth Formula One win of the 2021 season when clinched the British Grand Prix title.
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and Hamilton's teammate, Valtteri Bottas finished second and third respectively in an enthralling race.
Perez's teammate Max Verstappen is placed at the top of this year's Drivers' Championship standings and he is followed by Hamilton and Lando Norris of McLaren-Mercedes respectively.
The 31-year-old Perez is now placed fifth on the standings and he will be hoping to move back into the top four with a win at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Perez felt that the British Grand Prix was “definitely a big weekend for us to forget” as his teammate Verstappen was forced to retire after colliding with Hamilton.
“We were not able to make as much progress as expected. We found ourselves in a very difficult position with tyres. As soon as we were getting into the DRS train it was pretty hard to pass people," Perez said.
“I think P7 was possible today, definitely. I think Lance [Stroll] and Fernando [Alonso], with a couple more laps definitely I could have got them, but more than that was pretty difficult and in the end for strategic reasons we decided to [pit].”
Red Bull Racing-Honda are placed at the top of the Constructors' Championship standings and they were followed by Mercedes and McLaren-Mercedes respectively.
