2019-20 Premier League
Round 11, 2-3 November 2019
Everton will face a tough Premier League test at Goodison Park on Sunday 3 November when they play host to Tottenham Hotspur, with the clash kicking off at 19:30. The match is one of 10 across England’s top flight this coming weekend.
Everton slumped to a 3-2 defeat away to Brighton & Hove Albion in their last outing, conceding a last-gasp own goal to succumb on the South Coast.
“The mood is really low. It is difficult when we put in a big effort and did everything we should – and scored twice,” explained manager Marco Silva.

“It is difficult for them [players] to understand why it happened to us but you have to respect the decision and keep going.”
Tottenham come into the clash on the back of a 2-1 defeat away to league leaders Liverpool, a match in which Spurs scored early through Harry Kane but were unable to capitalise on a fast start.
"We are going to keep going, stay positive, step by step. We have the belief, and the confidence, but we didn't find a way to keep the possession,” said manager Mauricio Pochettino after the game.
"A lot of positive things to take. It's difficult to say it's a step forward because we lose the game, but yes, the way the form was in the last few months, it was a small step improving against the best team in Europe."
In head-to-head stats, Everton and Tottenham have met in 163 previous matches. The Lilywhites have claimed 62 wins compared to 48 for the Toffees, while 53 games have ended in draws.
Spurs took four points off Everton in the teams’ two Premier League meetings last season, winning 6-2 on Merseyside in December 2018 before playing out a 2-2 draw in the return game in London in May 2019.
