Dustin Johnson will look to keep up his great form when he participates in the 2021 Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club, Pacific Palisades, California from 18 to 21 February.

The world number one recently claimed victory at the European Tour’s Saudi International by two strokes. It was Johnson’s fifth victory in the space of 13 starts, highlighted by his triumph at the Masters last November, and his seventh top-two finish in nine outings. Johnson’s recent dominance has given him a commanding position in the Official World Golf Ranking – with his place at the top of the log unlikely to be challenged any time soon.

“After Augusta to get my first win, the game’s still in really good form and I’m looking forward to the rest of the year,” said Johnson after the Saudi International, though the 36-year-old says he needs to sharpen up his work on the greens heading into the Genesis Invitational.

“Conditions were tough, especially a couple of the days, but I felt like I struck it very well. I drove it really good, so I gave myself a ton of chances. Obviously, I'm very pleased with the win and very excited but I'm going to have to go home and work on the putting a bit I think.”

He added, “It [victory] gives me a lot of confidence going in for the rest of the year. Obviously, we're at the beginning of the year, so pleased with how I'm playing and looking forward to the rest of the year.”

Johnson is a previous champion of the Genesis Invitational, claiming the honours in 2017 when he shot a 267 (-17) to come home five shots clear of co-runners-up Scott Brown and Thomas Pieters. Last year he shot 277 (-10) to finish tied for 10th.
