The Reds had two goals ruled out for offside in a 1-1 draw away to Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Diogo Jota scored his fifth goal in five Premier League matches this season to give the visitors the lead at Amex Stadium, but they'd have to settle for a point as Pascal Gross converted from the spot in the third minute of injury time after VAR intervention.

As a result, the defending champions missed out on a chance to move top of the standings with Tottenham Hotspur leading the way after 10 matches. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was left frustrated by the setback but believes his team will move on quickly from what happened in Brighton.

"Very frustrating, especially the way it's happened in the last couple of minutes. Hard to take.It feels unfair at this moment in time and very frustrating, but you've got to move on and get on with it. That's the decision that was made, even though I don't think it was the right decision by a long way. But it is what it is. We move on and we keep going," said Henderson.

"I don't think it affects us. If anything, it makes us stronger as a team. When you are going through difficult periods – whether that would be performance, results, whatever it is, and at this moment in time it's probably injuries – it makes the group even more together and more stronger.

"We just need to adapt and give everything for the games coming up and try to recover and get players back fit as soon as possible."

Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence were on target for Wolves as they beat Arsenal 2-1 at Emirates Stadium. It was the first time that the club had taken all three points from the Gunners in away fixtures since 1979 and they did so without Raul Jimenez, after he suffered what appeared to be a serious head injury early on in the match.

The result moved Wolves up to seventh on the league standings, four points off top spot.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a narrow 1-0 win for the Reds. Sadio Mane scored the only goal of the game.
