Battle for Europa League spots intensifies in Serie A

AC Milan will be looking to boost their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League when they face Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on July 04.
 
The Red and Blacks are unbeaten in their last two away matches in the league having recorded one win and one draw.
 
Milan, who are placed seventh on the league standings, thumped Lecce 4-1 in their last away match which was played on June 22.

Stefano Pioli, the Milan manager, remains confident that they will finish in the top seven and qualify for next season's UEFA Europa League.
 
"It takes time to build a team and make it grow while implementing your own ideas," Pioli said.
 
"But we mustn’t look back, we have to live out these moments with full attention and intensity. There are 30 points up for grabs for us to try and achieve our goal.
 
"Our current average of two points a game is an excellent figure, we’re hoping to keep it up and we’re hoping that it will be enough to qualify for Europe.”
 
While Parma, who are placed eighth on the league standings, will play host to Fiorentina at the Ennio Tardini Stadium on July 05.
 
The Yellow and Blues are winless in their last three home matches in the league having recorded three consecutive defeats.
 
Parma will be wounded as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan in their last away match which played June 28.
 
Lastly, Hellas Verona are placed ninth on the league standings and they are set to face Brescia at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti on July 05.
 
The Mastiffs are winless in their last six away matches in the league having registered five draws and one defeat.
 
They were held to a 3-3 draw by Sassuolo in their last away game which was played on June 28.
