Spurs have undergone quite a bit of change in build-up to the new season with Nuno Espirito Santo appointed as Jose Mourinho's successor. The former Wolves boss will be hoping to build on their seventh place finish in the league last season.
On the transfer front, the North London club have strengthened their team with the signings of most notably Bryan Gil and Cristian Romero. Toby Alderweireld, Joe Hart, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are among those to have left the club while Gareth Bale has returned to Real Madrid following a fruitful loan spell.
Question marks still remain around Harry Kane's future at the club but Lautaro Martinez has been tipped as a possible replacement for the England captain at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

City are favourites to sign Kane from Spurs. The Cityzens are still searching for Sergio Aguero's long-term replacement following his move to FC Barcelona and have already bolstered their squad with the big-money signing of Jack Greaslih.
The Manchester club finished 12 points clear atop the Premier League standings last season and will be favourites to defend their crown, but defeat to Chelsea and Leicester City in their two most recent competitive outings will worry Pep Guardiola - even if he won't admit it.
"The players will be better next Sunday," the CIty manager said following their defeat to Leicester in the Community Shield this past weekend. "Before the international break we want to get as many points as possible to be there and after week by week, I am pretty sure we will be better

“What I saw today I am incredibly confident for the season.

“I saw many good things. We didn’t play badly. I said to the guys how proud I am. But this business you must win. So we congratulate the opponent and think about next week.”

Spurs beat City 2-0 in the corresponding fixture last season before losing 3-0 at Etihad Stadium and 1-0 to the Cityzens in the Carabao Cup final.
