2019/20 FA Cup
Arsenal v Chelsea
Saturday, 01 August 2020
London giants Arsenal and Chelsea will clash in the FA Cup final
at the Wembley Stadium on 01 August 2020.
Arsenal are coming into this match having secured a 3-2 win over Watford in a Premier League clash which was played on 26 July 2020.
The victory saw the Gunners return to winning ways having lost to Aston Villa earlier this month, before they locked horns with Watford.
Arsenal will be motivated by their recent massive wins over top English clubs Liverpool FC and Manchester City this month.
Mason Mount, the Chelsea midfielder, has reflected on the team's progress ahead of their encounter with their rivals Arsenal.
"We knew at the beginning of the season there were a lot of doubters, and nobody thought we would be pushing up to top four," Mount said.
"But with the squad we have we had good enough players to keep winning games. There have been ups and downs, but we have stayed strong, the mentality has been brilliant, and we have kept going."
Meanwhile, Chelsea are coming off a comfortable 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League game which was played on 26 July 2020.
As a result, the Blues bounced back to winning ways having succumbed to a defeat to Liverpool FC, before they took on Wanderers.
Prior to their loss to Liverpool, Chelsea had registered two consecutive wins over Norwich City and Manchester United.
The last time Arsenal and Chelsea clashed in a competitive match was on 21 January 2020.
The two teams played to a 2-2 draw in a Premier League encounter which was played at the Stamford Bridge Stadium.
