Manchester United will be eyeing a fourth straight win and revenge when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in a 2020-21 English Premier League match on Sunday.

Spurs looked on course for back-to-back wins on the back of a Harry Kane double but were ultimately held to a 2-2 draw by Newcastle United last weekend, as their hopes of a top four finish took a blow.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho cut a frustrated figure following the result which left Spurs three points behind London rivals West Ham United in fourth.

"The Premier League is hard and is high-level football. And when in some actions you don't show that you belong to that high level of football, it's difficult," Mourinho told the BBC.

"We made... defensive mistakes that lead to instability. In the first half we were always in control, even in the second half when we had the ball we didn't have any problems. We could have scored a couple more.

"Instability brings hope to our opponent and our opponent didn't give up. I had the same feeling and I'm on the bench. It's difficult to have the feeling of absolute control because I know that what happened can happen."

United made it three wins on the spin with a 2-1 comeback victory at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, as they cemented second spot on the league standings.

The Red Devils suffered a shock 6-1 loss to Spurs in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford earlier this season. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane scored a brace apiece while Anthony Martial received his marching orders in the first-half.
